Brian Hickman

Brian Hickman Brian Hickman received his bachelors in Computer Science at BYU in 1988, and his law degree from UC Berkeley in 1991.  Brian's legal career focused on Intellectual Property protection of software.  He was a frequent lecturer on the topic of Software Patents. 

His recognitions include:

Best Software IP Attorney
Patent Prospective Lawyer of the Year
Patent Attorney of the Year, and
Most Outstanding Software IP Attorney

He is the founder of the law firm Hickman Becker Bingham Ledesma, which has also won many awards including Software Patents Law Firm of the Year and Best IP Law Firm of Northern California.

He retired from law in 2024 and now spends his time volunteering at various community organizations.
